Balmoral Missile

The Perth Magic Millions arrives at an opportune time for Balmoral Park and its well-bred colt by Smart Missile (Lot 33).

Smart Missile stands at Arrowfield Stud and was Champion Australian first-season sire in 2016.  His stock have done extra well in this part of the world - Debellatio won a G3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes and Missile Launch is among the most promising gallopers in WA.

Balmoral Park’s Smart Missile is a half-brother to winners in three countries.  Atlantic Oak was exported to South Africa where she won 6 races and was Group 2 placed at Turffontein.  Reckless Assassin also won 6 races including the Rising Stars Final at Flemington and Tom’s Charm won twice in Hong Kong for John Size.

Their USA-bred dam Brackloon (Woodman) is a three-quarter sister to Timber Country whose best Australian galloper was multiple Group 1 winner Eremein.

Balmoral Park follows up with Lot 43, a filly by Darley shuttler Helmet who was Champion Irish first-season sire in 2016.  Her dam Chelsey’s Image (USA) was a stakes winner in Canada and her first foal Chelsea Hotel won at Canterbury and Sandown for trainer Matt Dale.
